Over 10k in 3 weeks? Rock on!
Holy moly! I haven’t checked my blog traffic stats in quite awhile but thought maybe I should take a peek. Was I ever glad I did! I have had 10,543 page views over the past 3 weeks! Crazy when you consider I haven’t even begun getting serious about SEO, site promotion, forum or blog comment posting, etc. etc. etc.
What actually led me to check on my traffic stats was a post I read about a blog that was for sale. This blog was begun back in 2004 and is averaging 10,000 page views a month. The seller mentioned how it has been developed with SEO in mind. So I said to myself, “Self, how many page views is my little new blog receiving?”
And when I checked I was floored. I am not sure what I was expecting but over 10,000 in 21 days was awesome news! What is going to happen when I start tweaking some SEO options (as I am learning more and more about that crazy world) and when I start getting alittle more active in other blogs and forums?
I know some of you might be wondering why I am only looking at the past 21 days when I am on Day 28 of blogging about my adventures in launching an online business as a gift for my wife. The answer is really quite simple. I began this blog on wordpress.com… it wasn’t until 21 days ago that I secured my own domain and set-up my own wordpress blog with my host (which rocks, by the way). So I have traffic stats for these past 3 weeks.
Thanks again to you, my faithful readers! I appreciate all your help, high fives, feedback, thumbs up, insight, knuckle bumps, wisdom, winks, advice and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Thanks for continuing to pass the word along… I hope it all helps when it comes time to wrap this baby up and give it to my wife! Peace.
